As part of our science unit, Growth and Changes in Animals, our class will be taking part in a presentation by the Bug Man! The students will be learning about insects from around the world. Students will:
- get a chance to see mounted specimens of many of the largest and strangest insects and related organisms found world wide
- learn some of the unique survival mechanism used by insects
- discover why insect size varies across the different regions of the world
- marvel at their exquisite colour and specialized adaptations
- have a chance to examine up close and perhaps handle some live insects, arachnids and other rainforest creatures.
The presentation will take place in the afternoon of Monday March 4, 2019. The cost for this presentation is $3.00 per student. Please send in the money by Monday March 4th.
